Gabrielle Ducomble

Parisian-Style Jazz & Tango

Perfect for jazz clubs, music festivals or if you're looking for things to do in London and across the UK.

The gorgeous Gabrielle Ducomble and her wonderful band perform some of the most seductive, romantic and beautiful songs of all time.

Singing in both English and French, Belgian chanteuse Gabrielle Ducomble specializes in Parisian-style jazz with an exciting, modern-day Gallic groove. After reaching the final of Pop Idol in France, she had a huge hit with her debut album and then settled in the UK where she has become an ever more popular performer.

With a repertoire that includes Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Serge Gainsbourg and Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gabrielle’s dreamy, haunting voice shimmers and shines as it weaves its way in between the wonderfully evocative accordion led backing band.

Parisian Style Jazz & Tango - Gabrielle Ducomble

"An astonishingly beautiful voice."

Emma Freud, BBC Radio 4

"Gabrielle Ducomble’s vocals were bright, emphatic and beaming, adding a European inflection to the lyrics, which along with Maurizio Minardi’s accordion rendered it a unique interpretation. Minardi was at his most swinging here, making the squeeze box sing while Luca Boscagin’s bright, ringing guitar danced down cascading scales. Together they played the melody in a memorably intertwined duet before Gabrielle returned with that amazing voice."

London Jazz

"Gabrielle Ducomble Live At The Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho was an enchanting, sophisticated and delightful evening of superb vocal jazz with equally superb instrumental solos all round."

Strumenti & Musica magazine

"For the second set, the exquisite Ms. Ducomble seemed to have found a magical extra gear as it were. Hers is a voice that connects back with the past, indeed, often seems to come straight out of the classic age of great jazz singers, yet also is anchored in the present while pointing to the future. Ms. Ducomble undoubtedly has a great future ahead of her."
