A Night At The Harlem Apollo 1960

Debuts At London's Cadogan hall Saturday 20th June 2020 at 7:30pm

    Book Tickets

The legendary Harlem Apollo on 125th Street in New York City has played host to many of the great stars of Jazz and Rhythm and Blues and is still going strong today.

We’re going to take you back to a night in 1960 and some of the biggest names of the era recreated by three wonderful singers and a hard-driving big band.

Wayne Hernandez will be taking the role of Sam Cooke, the satin-voiced star whose big hits included Cupid and What a Wonderful World and Vimala Rowe sings Dinah Washington songs such as Mad About The Boy and What A Difference A Day Makes.

Earl Jackson, who last appeared in our show celebrating 1957 (A Jazz Jukebox), returns to reprise his role as the late, great Chuck Berry, and Pete Long leads a spectacular 17-piece big band playing the music of Lionel Hampton and Count Basie.
